Actor's Nest is a specialist actor-training organisation supporting emerging actors as they develop their craft and prepare for professional training.
Alongside our training, we publish editorial content exploring acting, performance and the professional theatre industry — helping emerging actors learn not only through their own practice, but from the work happening on professional stages.

From the Audience is Actor's Nest's theatre editorial series, looking at professional productions through an actor's eyes.
Rather than simply asking whether a production is good, we explore the performances, choices and ideas emerging actors can learn from and take back into their own work.
Coverage focuses particularly on acting and performance — from character, listening and subtext to physicality, imagination, heightened performance, musical theatre and the relationship between an actor and the world of a production.
Actor's Nest approaches productions from the perspective of actor development.
Our coverage is designed for an audience interested in acting, drama training and performance craft. We look closely at what actors are doing on stage and translate those observations into ideas that emerging performers can understand, question and explore in their own work.
We don't use star ratings.
Instead, each From the Audience piece begins with a question about acting — using professional performance as a way into a wider conversation about the craft.
Close attention to acting choices, relationships, character and the craft behind a performance.
Ideas emerging actors can take from professional work and explore in their own training.
Introducing our audience to productions, performers and theatre-making across the West End, subsidised and independent sectors.

How do you make us believe in something that isn't real?

How big can you go and still tell the truth?
An audience interested in becoming better actors.
Actor's Nest works primarily with emerging actors preparing for drama school and professional actor training.
Our wider audience includes young performers, drama students, parents, teachers and others interested in acting and actor development.
Through our training, editorial content and social channels, we aim to connect professional performance with the next generation of actors watching and learning from it.
