The Studio is a monthly performance and development hub created for young actors who want to stay connected to their craft and continue developing their skills.

Run alongside the National Youth Monologues and supported by Actor’s Nest, The Studio provides a flexible space where young performers can practise regularly, explore new material and gain professional insight into the craft of acting.

Designed for actors aged 9–19, The Studio supports performers at every stage of their development — whether they are preparing for auditions, developing monologues, or simply looking for ways to continue practising and improving throughout the year.

Consistency is one of the most important elements of an actor’s development. However, many young performers struggle to know what to practise and how to continue improving between classes, rehearsals or auditions.

The Studio is designed to provide clear direction and regular creative stimulus, helping young actors maintain a healthy performance practice and develop their skills with confidence.

Each month introduces a new focus and fresh material, giving participants a structured but flexible way to stay active as performers.

The Greenroom Community

Alongside the training material, The Studio also includes The Greenroom — an online community space where young actors can connect with others who share the same passion for performance.

Here, members can reflect on the work they are developing, share ideas and feel part of a wider community of performers across the UK.

The Studio is designed to be flexible and low-pressure, allowing students to engage with the material in a way that fits around school, youth theatre commitments and everyday life.

Participants can explore the content at their own pace while continuing to build their confidence, technique and understanding of performance.
