Audition Intensive

The Audition Intensive is designed as a structured training experience rather than a single workshop.

The programme includes three stages:

Before attending the intensive day, students take part in a live online session covering:

• principles of strong monologue selection

• how to approach classical and contemporary text

• common mistakes in drama school auditions

• how to prepare effectively for the intensive

This ensures that students arrive ready to work on their material.

The in-person intensive day focuses on practical performance work.

Students perform their monologues and receive detailed coaching on:

• interpretation and objectives

• emotional clarity and connection

• vocal and physical communication

• presence and confidence in performance

Actors will also observe and learn from the work of other participants, gaining insight into different approaches to text and performance.

Participants may also choose to join optional follow-up online sessions designed to support continued development of their monologues.

These sessions allow actors to:

• present revised work

• receive further feedback

• refine their performances as they move closer to filming self-tapes or live auditions
